It was a thing-

back in the day - little old ladies with blue hair.  Not this blue, but...

I suppose I do it as a joke; because I'm bored; because I like bright colors; because now that purple is the preferred color I want no part of what everyone else is doing. I have seen more than a few pink-haired old ladies but pink does not exist in my world. (The color not the singer.)

Back in the day the blue rinse had a purpose, to neutralize the yellow tones of grey hair (nowadays there is purple shampoo). There was no intent to have blue hair. It was a heavy handedness with the rinse that made hair look blue. I, OTOH, chose a bright, almost electric blue, because, well see the above paragraph.

There are many stereotypes for old people, er, excuse me, senior citizens. What are some other euphemisms for 'old'? Don't bother to look it up, they are innumerable, endless even. Idioms, descriptors, adjectives and without doing the research I want to say that most veer into the derogatory lane.

(Pinball Brain Alert:  Derogatory LANE? Not the right word but I wanted something that would go with 'veer'. If i were a better writer, or better educated, I could come up with that word easily - agreement amongst verb, noun, adjective - modifiers?)

I have no idea where I meant to go with this. I knew yesterday when it first crossed my mind. I've let it sit too long and now I'm totally bored with it, perhaps I just wanted to show my blue hair.

I get bored so quickly, so easily. On the rare occasion that I actually have a conversation with a real, in-person person, it takes all my self-control to keep from saying "Talk faster, spit it out. Let's go, let's go"

Is my impatience a symptom of some old age disease?
